The Persian rugs were known as the best rugs in the Asia. The Asian rugs were known for its best quality. The rugs itself are the floor coverings. The rugs were made from the wools that weaved to make the rugs. The rugs are different from carpet. If carpet can cover the entire floor in one piece, the rugs only cover a little piece on the floor. But, the larger rugs called the area rugs can be as large as the carpet. The rugs that made by the Asian have some specific accents that said as the characteristic of the Asian rugs. The Asian rugs characteristic is the shape of the rugs always in the square shape. Although the other shapes like round, rectangular, hexagonal, or other kind of shape, the most and the easiest shape that usually found is the square shape. The square shape that use as the characteristic of the Asian rugs also divided into two parts, the frame and the field of the rugs. The frame or the border of the rugs is the complex stripes that have varying width depend on the large of the rugs. The field of the rugs is the main part of the rugs that usually contain the main accents of the rugs such as the images, the calligraphies, the animal pattern, or some repeated patterns. In the Asian rugs, the most common accent in the field is the repeated pattern. The rugs in the Asia, especially the countries that have the great Islamic influence, have special kinds of rugs that called the prayer rugs. The prayer rugs are the cheap rugs because the size of the rug is small. Different from the other rugs that use for the floor covering, the prayer rugs are only as long as the prayer. The use of the prayer rugs is also special because the rugs are not use for the floor covering all the day, but the prayer rugs only use when the Muslim want to pray.
